FPÖ motion of censure against LH Haslauer failed
There has never been such a motion against a governor in Salzburg before. Club chairwoman and party leader Marlene Svazek from the Salzburg Freedom Party justified the motion of censure as follows:
“The last half year has shown that you have no plan at all when it comes to the pandemic. There are contradictions, and statements by the governor that it is actually appropriate and okay for him to discriminate against those who have not been vaccinated. And that these should have disadvantages. That’s why the barrel has overflowed for us now. “
No other party went along
The FPÖ clearly failed with its motion of censure against Haslauer: Even the SPÖ, which has been telling the state government for months to oversleep measures, did not go along as the largest opposition party. The libertarians were ultimately left alone.
FPÖ: “barrel has overflowed”
FPÖ leader Marlene Svazek had justified the application in the state parliament with the loss of confidence in Haslauer. She accused the governor of a lack of plan and numerous contradictions in his corona statements. The barrel overflowed, however, that it was okay for Haslauer to discriminate against non-vaccinated people. “The 2G rule divides the country and excludes people. It’s not social if you lock out healthy people, ”Svazek emphasized.
SPÖ does not participate
The red club chairman Michael Wanner said on Wednesday that it was a populist proposal: “We want the government to work. You have to create trust, a motion of no confidence is excessive. To speculate about new elections at this time would result in chaos squared. We need a government that tackles and works. “
Greens and NEOS express trust
The coalition parties ÖVP, Greens and NEOS accuse freedom of “party tactical games on the back of the pandemic”. Green and NEOS, unsurprisingly, voted against the request of the FPÖ and languages in the governor on Wednesday afternoon.
Haslauer: “Increased actionism”
Prime Minister Haslauer said that he had the impression that the FPÖ was very concerned because the new list of anti-vaccination opponents was its competitor: “It is going over into increased actionism. Everyone can get an idea for themselves. I don’t get any further. “
FPÖ motion of censure against LH Haslauer failed
On Wednesday afternoon, the FPÖ and party leader Marlene Svazek submitted a motion of no confidence against Prime Minister Wilfried Haslauer (ÖVP) in the Salzburg state parliament – because of his current CoV policy. The application failed – none of the other parties went along.
