When Prince Albert announced that his wife Charlene, who had been detained for several months in South Africa for serious ENT problems, would be among the Monegasques on November 19 for the principality’s national day, he was not convinced. For months, the return of the princess was announced and then postponed, leaving a gaping place for rumors of separation of the couple. And it is not the express visit of Albert and the couple’s twins to South Africa that could have silenced them, as the “minimum service” in communication had on the contrary revived the speculation machine. But today, it’s over.
The return on November 8 of Charlene from Monaco brought serenity and silenced the bad tongues. The enthusiastic statements of Prince Albert in Paris Match testify to this and the relatives, at the palace, are delighted: “We are a small community united with our main family, and its happiness as its misfortunes are also ours”, explains a Monegasque.
No doubt that the presence of Charlene alongside Albert during the festivities of the National Day will reassure the Monegasques, and please Gabriella and Jacques, who longed for their mother.
