Coach Gerhard Struber and Red Bull New York made it into the play-offs on the last day of the regular season of Major League Soccer (MLS). “That was always our goal for the season,” said Struber on the club’s website. After a weak start in the league, the former WAC and Barnsley coach and his team made it into the play-offs with 7 wins and 4 draws in the last 12 games. Struber, who has been working in the “Big Apple” since October 2020, sees his ideas slowly being implemented: “I think I can call at two o’clock in the morning and every player understands what we want,” said the 44-year-old from Salzburg.
