The Preview of the Fair is the appointment that allows you to taste the flavors of San Martino. From 4 pm tomorrow (Wednesday 10 November), in fact, the stands dedicated to typical food, the refreshment points, street food, food trucks and the luverie stairway, distributed in the streets and squares of the center, will already be working. And those who attend the Fair know that the afternoon and evening of the eve are among the most beautiful and intense moments of San Martino, when preparations are still in full swing everywhere. The typical products of Romagna in Piazza Ganganelli, the Casa dell’Autunno in Piazza Marini with the 35th market exhibition of the typical food of the Regions, the large refreshment point in Piazza Marconi where the large tent of the Casa della piadina is mounted and all the other open-air taverns distributed between piazzetta del Lavatoio, via De Bosis, via Faini and via Giordano Bruno will open in the afternoon. Beck’s Food truck is re-proposed in Piazza Gramsci and in Via Cavallotti, while the novelty of this year is the Osteria delle Tradition, the refreshment point organized by the Pro Loco in the covered space of the Franchini social center (in operation from Thursday). From Wednesday to Sunday the staircase in via Saffi turns into the Scala delle luverie with chestnuts, sweets and various delicacies, while in Piazza Marconi you can taste the solidarity chestnuts proposed by Caritas volunteers to raise funds for fragile people or people in economic difficulty. In the portico and in the courtyard of the Town Hall you can visit the market exhibition of handicrafts and various curiosities. Not far away, in via Cavallotti and under the portico of via Garibaldi, the hand-made products specifically for the San Martino Fair. In the meantime, the tour organized for the afternoon of Saturday 13 November by the Pro Loco to discover the underground city is enjoying extraordinary success. In fact, there are almost 300 reservations to visit five of the most original and mysterious caves, full of suggestive legends. At the end of the guided tour, lasting about two hours, there will be a tasting of Romagna wines.
