Russia received the lowest scores in the ranking of the use of “green” energy and took 60th line out of 61. This is reported in a document published following the results of the global climate summit in Glasgow.
The document notes that Iran took the last place. At the same time, there were no leaders in the ranking, since none of the countries has yet been able to achieve carbon neutrality. In terms of overall points, Latvia became the best of the states.
The rating was calculated according to such indicators as the share of renewable energy sources (RES) in the overall structure, the current level of use of RES, the energy balance excluding hydroelectric power plants. At the same time, only 11 countries from the G20 have a low or very low rating in each of the categories, including Russia.
Formerly former US President Barack Obama accused Russia and China are not zealous enough to combat global warming.
