The new telephone line is intended to help former patients get into a normal life. “The service follows up on a series of similar activities that Prague has launched in the last two years of the pandemic period,” says Miloš Růžička (STAN), Chairman of the Health Care Committee m of Prague. So far, three female employees are on the phone.
The line will initially adapt to the callers’ residents. “We want to analyze all the data we get. Depending on the problems, we will go in that direction. “ informs the director of the Return Line. The line will also be used preventively by family members who notice the deteriorating condition of their loved one.
“We want Praguers to be well aware of their situation in the family. If you notice that a situation will arise soon, it will be necessary to solve them, they should contact us, “advises Miloš Růžička. It is said that we do not have to wait until a surprising situation arises, when our loved one will have to be taken to the hospital and only then will we start to decide what to do next. “We anticipate difficult situations in families in time,” Miloš Růžička appeals.
Service in practice
The person with the problem dials the number 770 170 651 and a social worker calls the other end. The search for a solution will take place individually. So far, the work of the line is mainly informative, in the future it could be extended to field workers. “For example, the operator will now secure applications for admission to a nursing home. Each case is handled separately. When the practice shows what will need to be done, “says the line director.
