This Tuesday, November 9, 2021, around 1:30 a.m., the customs officers of Montauban and Toulouse intercepted at Gignac toll a BMW brand vehicle of the X5 type which, in their view, made a U-turn before coming to a stop. The occupants left this vehicle to rush into a following vehicle which fled towards the south (Gignac-Toulouse), without affecting the traffic of the motorway network.

A market value of around € 2 million

Inside the abandoned vehicle, customs officials discovered 14 packaged packages that were found to have a cannabis resin garnish, weighing a total of 490 kg, and a market value of around € 2 million.

The Toulouse research section as well as the Gourdon research brigade were appointed by Frédéric Almendros, public prosecutor of the Lot, to elucidate these facts, the vehicle and the products being seized.
