PAN preoccupied with hurried discussion and discussion of Portugal 2030 – Observer
The PAN expressed its concern this Tuesday with transparency mechanisms and the speed of discussion of the partnership agreement regarding the next community framework, but welcomed the increase in funding for energy communities.
These positions were conveyed by deputy Nelson Silva at the end of a meeting with the Government in the Assembly of the Republic, in which the general lines of the Partnership Agreement Portugal 2030, the new multi-annual financial framework of the European Union, which will replace Portugal 2020, were displayed.
We have a number of concerns about the increased transparency in procedures and procedures that the modernization of public administration, through digitization, would allow. There is nothing in this scope in the partnership agreement”, he warned.
Asked if he shares with the PSD the criticisms of the short period of public discussion (a maximum of three weeks) of this agreement, the PAN deputy replied in the affirmative.
“There is here a very hasty attempt to move forward with this partnership agreement before the next ones, we think that it has been sidetracked longer ago,” he says, while understanding that the ‘lead’ of the 2022 State Budget soon forced the Government to speed up many processes.
On the positive side, the PAN deputy highlighted “increasing funding for energy communities and the democratization of energy”, but was surprised that agriculture is not included in this agreement within the climate transition funds.
“There are positive points in this agreement, but there is still a lot to be done, which the Recovery and Resilience Plan itself does not respond to”, he summed up.
The Minister of Planning, Nelson de Souza, and the Secretary of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Duarte Cordeiro, present the Guidelines for the Portugal 2030 Partnership Agreement, the new multi-annual financial framework of the European Union, which will replace Portugal 2020.
This Tuesday, BE, PSD, PCP, CDS-PP and PAN were already received in parliament, followed by PEV and PS. On Wednesday, the parties Chega and Iniciativa Liberal and the non-inscribed deputy Cristina Rodrigues will be received.
