Munich (dpa / lby) – The number of new corona infections in Bavaria continues to rise. On Tuesday, according to four districts, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) had a seven-day incidence of 800 – an unprecedented level. The Miesbach district was the nationwide leader with an incidence of 868.4. This is evident from the figures that reflect the status of the RKI dashboard at 7:00 a.m.
The seven-day incidence across Bavaria is therefore 348. The incidence measures the number of new infections recorded per 100,000 inhabitants within a week. The Bavarian health authorities reported 6,230 new infections and 43 health authorities to the RKI within one day.
The hospital traffic light jumped to red on Monday in Bavaria: More than 600 people were treated for Covid-19 disease in the intensive care units. Since Tuesday, significantly stricter protective measures have been in place in Bavaria against the further spread of the corona virus.
