Cyprus introduces stricter entry rules for Sweden, Italy and three other countries – facilitates them for Bahrain
Unvaccinated and unrepaired travelers from Italy, the Vatican City State and New Zealand will no longer be allowed to enter Cyprus without entry requirements as these countries have been removed from the list of safe journeys. On the other hand, arrivals from Bahrain will be eligible for Cyprus without quarantine and test requirements as the country has been added to low-risk countries or the green category, which consists of:
- EU Member States: Malta
- Third countries: United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia
As previously mentioned, unvaccinated and unrecovered arrivals from these countries are exempt from quarantine and test requirements.
Fully vaccinated travelers who have recovered from covid-19 and holders of EU Digital Covid-19 certificates are also exempt from entry requirements. Arrivals from all countries must have a Passenger Locator Form (PLF) completed before arrival in the country.
Vaccination certificates issued in countries such as EU Member States, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and 19 other countries, are also recognized as valid.

While Canada is removed from the red category, the following countries remain on the list:

The red category of unvaccinated and unrecovered arrivals must present a PCR test taken 72 hours before arrival, in addition to the quarantine period until another test is performed on arrival.
