Vénissieux: David Bellanger, new director of the Usin project
Since the start of the school year in September, the Usin project, in Vénissieux, has a new director in the person of David Bellanger. This trained engineer replaced Audrey Delaloy, who had held this position since the end of 2019. “My role is to lead the team that operates the site and ensure its development”, describes David Bellanger.
Usin Lyon Parilly is an 11 ha site, located in the heart of the city. It was sought by the SERL (Company of equipment and development of the Rhône and Lyon) and the Metropolis to set up innovative factories. Among its tenants, we can cite Symbio, manufacturer of hydrogen fuel cells, Boostheat, manufacturer of ecological boilers and Bosch Rexroth.
Today, 92% of the 30,000 m² of premises are occupied. Another 30,000 square meters will soon emerge, the first 10,000 by 2023.
A team of eight people
The role of David Bellanger and his team consists in particular in finding the right tenants and offering them a suitable real estate offer. “To do this, you have to understand their activity, their process. It is very enriching intellectually”, says David Bellanger.
The latter can use his 17 years of experience within the SERL as director of urban development projects and public facilities to carry out his mission. Previously, this engineer from INSA worked for a few years for the OPAC du Rhône.
“What I like about these new functions is the great freedom of execution that we enjoy”, explains David Bellanger, who manages a team of eight people.
