The Déri Museum reveals what kind of yurt to live in
Debrecen – On a family day, those interested can get acquainted with the life of nomads.
How did our ancestors live in the Carpathian Basin 10,000 years ago? How were their bone tools, jewelry, rock paintings made? How were your days for a “nomad” today?
Szilda Ildikó Rossel talks about how she lived in a yurt with her four children, entitled “Common Sky” – Family on the Palm of Nature. Szilda’s report, guided tours, basket weaving and mat weaving are also waiting for the visitors on the Mesolithic Family Day of the Déri Museum on Saturday, November 13, from 10 am to 4 pm.

- 10.30-11 Guided tour of the archaeologist Annamária Priskin in the temporary exhibition “Lost Paradise – The Lost World of the Mesolithic Hunters”
- 11.15-11.30 Lecture by Imre Nagy, a basket weaver, with a presentation (Ballroom)
- 12.15-12.30 Archaeozoologist Dr. Márta Daróczi-Szabó’s projected pictorial lecture on prehistoric bone making (Ceremonial Hall)
- 13.15-13.30 Presentation of the Gyékény Woven Association with a lecture (Ballroom)
- 13.30-14 Archaeologist Annamária Priskin’s guided tour in the temporary exhibition “Lost Paradise – The Lost World of the Mesolithic Hunters”
- 14.00-15 hours Presentation by Szilda Ildikó Rossel: “Common sky” – family on the palm of nature (Ballroom)
- 15.30-16 Guided tour of the archaeologist Annamária Priskin in the temporary exhibition “Lost Paradise – The Lost World of the Mesolithic Hunters”
- From 10 am to 4 pm, museum pedagogical classes – jewelery and tent making, rock painting.
The program requires the presentation of a security certificate and the wearing of a mask.
