The Cross du Larvotto makes its show in Monaco
After a canceled 2020 edition, the Larvotto Cross made its return to Monaco this Sunday, with no less than 250 runners meeting in the heart of the new Larvotto seaside resort.
Three years after the last edition contested at Larvotto, the famous Monegasque race, which celebrated its 44th edition, made its comeback home after a race relocated to Fontvieille in 2019. Under a caprieux sky, Pierre Potteau (Menton Marathon Athletics) won the men’s 6.5 km with a time of 20’55, ahead of Greg Giuffra (AS Monaco Triathlon) in 21’39.
AS Monaco Athletics strongly represented
A week after his third place at the regional cross court championships, the MMA resident handed it over to Larvotto. On a technical course, with no less than 500 m of race on the sand, more than 50 residents of AS Monaco Athletics were at the start, while 80 people veiled the smooth running of the race.
