A flash sign encouraging traffic delays has been installed at the intersection of rue du Général-Leclerc with rue de la Gare and rue du Bas Verson. A marking on the ground reinforces the protection of pedestrians.
This passage is widely used for school trips. The commission wanted to better protect him. It is beneficial for users and residents.
The speed limit not respected
Educational radars will be fitted to the roads: one in the direction of Mouen at rue de l’Armuche, another rue des quatre vents in the Mesnillière area.
They are placed in places where motorists tend to ignore speed limits.
Saint-Manvieu and Fontaine-Etoupefour streets, near rue du Général-Leclerc, have moved to zone 30. In these two streets, the pedestrian crossings have been framed in resin and marked upstream to give them more visibility.
The green lane, which runs along rue Georges Brassens and extends the Promenade Charles Binet, was designed for college students living in the Armuche district. So they can reach their establishment on foot or by bike, “ without being hampered by cars ”.
“Improve the living environment of Versonnais”
The other greenway, carried out at the entrance to Verson along the Croix Beaujard, connects the plateau de Perruques, in the direction of Caen. Mayor Nathalie Donatin is pleased that “all this work improves the living environment of Versonnais and responds to our desire to promote the development of soft modes of transport”.
The developments are financed from the drawing rights of Verson sur Caen la mer, thanks to the transport and mobility budget of the urban community.
