San Marino Green and Brescia in the name of the planet
We receive and publish from San Marino Green Festival:
Creating relationships is one of the prerogatives of San Marino Green Festival it’s at Brescia, on the occasion of the Peace Festival to be held from 12 to 28 November, it will bring an exhibition of its own Sustainable Archives for titled art “WITHOUT WATER”, photographs by Giorgio Busignani and a work by Claudio Ballestracci. A poetic and poignant exhibition at the same time, a denunciation of the progressive loss of the most precious and irreplaceable asset for life on earth: water.
Born from the relationships between Gabriele Geminiani creator of the San Marino Green Festival and the president of the municipal council of Brescia, Roberto Cammarata, the twinning aims to enhance the role of rhythm within ecological dynamics and create new synergies between distant realities but similar in spirit and objectives.
Is there a connection between an ecological festival and one that talks about peace?
“It exists and how – says Gabriele Geminiani – where there are wars, sustainable development processes and attention to the environment are heavily penalized. In fact, the 16th of the Sustainable Development Goals of the UN 2030 Agenda is dedicated to the promotion of a peaceful and inclusive society.
Knowing history and working for peace also means working for environmental sustainability. For this reason we have entered the twinning with Brescia and brought the project to the San Marino schools Kaki Tree Project, a cultural initiative that culminates in the planting of a persimmon jet that survived the atomic bomb in Nagasaki “.
And so the San Marino Green Festival joins its fourth edition and next year it will split into an edition dedicated to Montefeltro, it can in effect be considered the best ambassador of virtuous San Marino across the border. A San Marino that aspires to become, in deeds and not in words, a laboratory and a model of eco-sustainability studied and imitated all over the world.
