The “AustrianSkills” offer the opportunity to look over the shoulder of the best apprentices and young professionals in their field. “At the ‘AustrianSkills’, Austria’s best young professionals match each other for the starting positions for the European professional championships ‘EuroSkills’ and the professional world championships ‘WorldSkills’ and show their great skills. Here, as a viewer, you get a good impression of what is important in the respective professions, ”explains BIM chief organizer Lukas Mang from the Salzburg Economic Chamber.
Get to know your job at “BIM”
One of the most important program items within the framework of “AustrianSkills” is the new career orientation project “Try a Skill”, through which schoolchildren can get to know different professions. The focus is on practically trying out a wide variety of career opportunities using stations that are integrated directly into the competition area and where experts are available to provide the students with advice and action.
Preparation for the fair online
On-line the pupils can view the hall plan in advance and get an overview of apprenticeships, focuses and internships. There is also a regional filter that shows apprenticeships in the vicinity.
