To prevent the ships of the Pacific Fleet from being damaged during the storm, the military prepared them for a bad weather forecast. The property on the ships was secured in a storm-like manner, additional mooring lines were brought in. The ships were sealed, and the watch duty was strengthened.
Also, before the storm, the readiness of the rescue forces and support vessels was checked. On the shore, specialists checked the work of autonomous energy sources, and also introduced restrictions on the operation of naval aviation airfields.
