Organon’s new shared services center will be in Lisbon and create 200 jobs – Society
Lisbon was the city chosen by pharmaceutical Organon to install its new Global Shared Services Center, which provides for the creation of around 200 jobs and is expected to open in 2022, announced this Monday.
The new Center (GSS) provides global services in support of Organon’s operations to more than 50 countries around the world, including finance, human resources and procurement.
According to a statement released this Monday by the company, the Global Shared Services Center will officially open in description for 2022, and is expected to be fully operational by 2023, by which time it will have created around 200 jobs.
Cited in the communiqué, Vittorio Nisita, ‘head of Global Business Services’ at Organon, stressed that “Lisbon offers a highly qualified workforce of local and international professionals and authorized by leading universities”.
“This center will greatly contribute to an Organon consolidating and transforming important functions, optimizing a support operation and supporting Organon’s mission of drug delivery and related therapeutic solutions to impactors,” he said.
Currently, Organon’s Portuguese subsidiary has around 60 employees.
Organon is a global healthcare company focused on women’s health throughout all phases of their lives, which grew out of the MSD spin-off operation completed in June 2021.
Headquartered in Jersey City (United States of America), an organon body approximately 9,000 workers.
