Anchovy, 12 liras in the Black Sea, 30 liras in Istanbul

Packages that come out of the factories where 2,500 tons of anchovy are processed a day are more expensive and discounted. Fishermen, on the other hand, think that factories are one of the reasons why Istanbulites sell anchovies dearly. Another reason is that the more expensive fish succeeds in selling because of the cheap anchovy in demand.
If the choice of factories is anchovy, fish meat, oil and feed form and used for cultured fish. Fishermen give anchovies for 3 liras per kilo here. But whoever buys the same anchovy gets 10 times more money. According to the calculations, one kilogram of fish feed is obtained from 3 kilograms of anchovy. Anchovy of the same weight can feed 6-7 people.
This year, a fruitful hunt is listed for the Black Sea people’s counter, from the biggest to the cheapest, as follows: Anchovy, which is sold for 10-15 liras per kilo, is in demand. Horse mackerel from other species is 15 TL, turbot 200 TL, sargan 50 TL, red mullet 40 TL, whiting is at the top of the list.
