Round tables: employment, digital, finance and climate
The first round table of the day will focus on employment and climate. Starting at 2:30 p.m., participants learn to learn more about the recent study by The Shift project. This concerns the carbon constraint in the economy. The think tank will be represented by engineer Pierre-Louis Vernhes. The results of the study will be discussed, leaving room for reactions from local stakeholders.
Thereafter, at 3:30 p.m., the privileged theme will be digital and climate. Consequently, local digital players will intervene. Those present can count on members of La Mêlée, GoodIT, or even Infogreen Factory. The Shift Project study also reveals that online video records 60% of global data flows, or 300 million tonnes of C02 per year.
After a snack with tasting of eco-responsible products, the last round table will take place at 5.30 p.m. It will focus on finance and climate. The “casting” will be important. The representatives of the Banque de France, the Caisse d’Épargne and the BPI France will be at the meeting, among others. Note that the six largest French banking networks are recently committed to no longer a funder of projects related to shale oil, from January 2022.
Simulation of COP 26
At the end of the day, at 6.30 p.m., a simulation of the COP 26 negotiations will be set up. This simulation will be done through the serious game C-Roads. The trainer and speaker on the climate Laurent Richard will lead the activity. Different keys to understanding will be delivered through the game. The debates between decision-makers in Glasgow will seem more real than life from the pink city.
