Video: Charging hard on an enduro bike in Sweden
Riding in the area near Jönköping lake is always present, no matter where you ride, you will always get the occasional glimpse of the deep clear water that Lake Vättern has become known for. The name of the movie One Two Eight is a reference to this, the lake that is deepest is about 128 meters deep. It has such an significance for the area that also increases the riding potential, the large size of Lake Vättern and its depth have created a unique microclimate around the southern edge of the lake. Wet springs and summers feed the forest that covers the hills, which over the years have produced large areas of clay soil and dirt among the granite, which is perfect for building paths.
Philip Fagerberg grew up on the shores of Lake Vättern in the small town of Gränna where he started riding and building. Now living in Huskvarna, he rides and trains the mountains around southern Lake Vättern. Currently one of the best enduro skiers in Sweden while running the track building company Ride and Develop, he has just finished an extensive season both nationally and across Europe in the EWS where he soon qualified for the professional race. Filmed in early 2021, Philip shows off some of his local favorite trails where he uses the diverse landscape to prepare for varying races and conditions throughout the season. To show that what the area lacks in quantity of height, more than outweighs the quality of the experimental network.
