The coronavirus in Bulgaria: teachers’ union threatens to strike because of child testing – Bulgaria
“We hope that from Wednesday, November 10, the process of face-to-face training of students from 1st to 4th grade will be possible. I sincerely believe that common sense will prevail and we will achieve balance and trust with parents, because it is important for children to return to school. With this high morbidity, there is no way, if I want to have in-person training, not to guarantee a safe environment in schools. “This was a request to BNR Maria Gaidarova, Deputy Minister of Education.
She emphasizes that it is a misinformation of the statement that they should be tested smooth and not drink water.
“It’s about 30 minutes before the children’s test so they don’t store or drink liquids. It’s normal for children to have breakfast at home before school in the morning.”
Deputy Minister Gaidarova pointed out that the Ministry of Health has set the requirement for the tests of students to be conducted in a controlled environment and therefore the decision was made to create in a school:
“I do not have the opportunity, when the percentage of vaccinated people in Bulgaria is higher, for testing to take place at home,” she said.
According to them, teachers need the support of parents:
“The teacher should not be alone when testing children. I need to build a bridge between children, parents and teachers. Here, too, the role of the media is great to allay fears so that there is no misinformation, so that parents can inform and justify our decision.
Maria Gaidarova confirmed that volunteers can participate in the testing of students, have a green certificate – parents or representatives of the Bulgarian Red Cross.
