The Belgian football federation snatch a promising trio from the FRMF
Kiosk 360. The Royal Moroccan Football Federation is overtaken by the Belgian Federation which has convened a promising Moroccan-Belgian trio. A trio that had already been selected by Morocco in the U17 category.
The Royal Belgian Football Federation overtook the FRMF by summoning a few young players of Moroccan origin to participate in an international tournament in Spain, between November 7 and 16. Belgian football leaders took advantage of the non-summoning of the Moroccan U20 national team of these players, as they do not participate in the North African Cup, as explained Assabah in its November 8 edition. As a reminder, this international tournament in which Belgium participates will also see the participation of Portugal, England, Germany and the Netherlands.
In detail, it is the young goalkeeper Elias Mago, the central defender Samy Tory and the striker Camil Mmae, brother of the two players of the first national team. The 3 players, who played with the Standard de Liège U21s, were all present at the last U17 Morocco gatherings, as the daily specifies.
Assabah explains that the recent changes experienced by the lists of Morocco’s young teams have caused players to respond favorably to invitations sent by European countries, following some pressure. This is precisely the case of Elias Mago and Samy Tory who are no longer called to take part in the last gatherings of the Atlas Lions.
The two young players have been under a lot of pressure from their club which has been opposed to their choice to wear the colors of Morocco. The daily Assabah adds that the two players have sacrificed a lot to play for the Atlas Lions, but the fact that the national coaches have passed from them lately justifies their new choices.
