Missing woman found Wandering cold in Florence – Chronicle
She wandered cold and aimlessly down a street in the immediate vicinity of the Santa Maria Nuova hospital in Florence. Some volunteers from an association noticed her yesterday, alerting the police and accompanying the woman to the emergency room, writing the happy ending in a story that she kept in suspense. It took little for the agents to be sure that that woman was her, Valentina, the 39-year-old who disappeared on 27 October from a residence in Casole d’Elsa, in Cotorniano, where she was spending a short holiday with her mother. Police and carabinieri had never stopped looking for her and on Wednesday the case had landed on “Who has seen it”, Federica Sciarelli’s program on Rai 3 to which Valentina’s family members had contacted in the hope that some useful information would arrive for her finding.
The woman was last spotted on October 30 at the Poggibonsi train station, where she had almost certainly taken a train to Florence. The fact that the 39-year-old did not have a mobile phone with her, which had allowed the police to locate her position, made the research more problematic. Valentina searched for her in many: carabinieri, police, civil protection firefighters, Vab (Forest Fire Vigilance) teams, Tas (Topography Applied to Rescue) personnel, dog units, Sapr (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems). And finally it has been found.
