A plane takes off from Frankfurt Airport. But immediately after take-off there are problems with the engine. The pilot must land immediately.
Frankfurt – The flight of an Airest Saab 340A, which took place on Tuesday (02.11.2021) from airport Frankfurt* took off was extremely short: the plane was in the air for only twelve minutes. Because due to problems with the engine, the pilot had to land again immediately after take-off.
The flight AEG-640 of the Estonian airline Airest took off according to information from the German Air Traffic Control (DFS) in Langen at 8.35 p.m. local time from runway 18 at the airport in Frankfurt*. “Immediately after the start, the message ‘Engine on Fire’ came from the cockpit,” said a spokeswoman for DFS.
After take-off from Frankfurt Airport: the pilot reports problems with the engine
Shortly thereafter, however, the pilot corrected his report on “engine failure”, i.e. engine problems. The English word “failure” can be translated as “failure” or “failure” – the DFS could not say which problem existed in detail with the affected engine. In a report from the portal “The Aviation Herald”, which documents incidents in air traffic, the engine was still idling.
The aircraft “was led to land spontaneously”, according to the DFS. At 8.47 p.m. local time, the machine was back on the ground. According to information from DFS, it is not an emergency landing. After landing, the aircraft was able to taxi independently to the gate at Frankfurt Airport.
Problems with aircraft at Frankfurt Airport are not uncommon
Just recently, an airplane had a dangerous accident en route from Frankfurt Airport to Heraklion. The nose of the Airbus was badly damaged. In another case, the current airline was sharply criticized after an airplane from Hurghada landed at Frankfurt Airport. (kk) * fnp.de is an offer from IPPEN.MEDIA.
