Rising welterweight star Conor Benn will meet former world champion Chris Algieri on top of a huge boxing night at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool on Saturday, December 11, live worldwide on DAZN.
‘The Destroyer’ (19-0, 12 KOs) maintained its perfect record with a shutout points victory over Mexico’s Adrian Granados on Lara vs. The Warrington 2 bill in September after receiving a deafening welcome from over 20,000 Leeds fans, and the Essex native wants to end a big year in style as he strives for more titles.
New York’s Algieri (25-3, 9 KOs), a former super lightweight WBO world champion, represents a big step up in the class for 25-year-old Benn who shared the ring with some of the biggest names in the sport, including modern legend Manny Pacquiao , former United super lightweight ruler Amir Khan and United world welterweight champion Errol Spence Jr.
