Toulouse. “111 des Arts”, the colorful exhibition against pain at Hôtel-Dieu
Press photographer now retired, Jean-Marie Lamboley is one of the artists exhibiting in the prestigious setting of the Chapel of the Hôtel Dieu on the occasion of the annual exhibition of the association “Les 111 des Arts “.
Guided by an artistic and united will, the association has been working for twenty years in the service of medical research in pediatric oncology and the hospitalization of the youngest: “The funds collected finance projects which are proposed to us by the CHU de Purpan and alongside, we also subsidize hospital comfort care ”explains Thérèse Delpeyroux, treasurer of the association. Passionate about nature, Jean-Marie Lamboley, whose objective has long been focused on the news, now meets his talent at the service of his passion: “I have always had this desire to capture strong moments and it is all the more true these days when protecting biodiversity, preserving traces, meeting looks, appearing appearances, have become real issues ”.
Eager to share the living tableaux that make up our biodiversity, the photographer distinguishes himself by entering the private spheres of those who inhabit our nature: “I have always adored animals and nature. Capturing looks, lights, colors, moods, attitudes. It is a pleasure that I like to share ”adds the artist. Alongside the 110 other artists, professionals or amateurs, selected by an independent jury, Jean-Marie Lamboley presents 11 small-format paintings (20X20 cm), for a single price of 111 euros (92 euros without frame). An exercise which, although very formative, turned out to be a real challenge for the photographer: “I am not used to doing this kind of exhibition where it is more about artists’ creations, but the jury did loved and in addition it is for a good cause! »Rejoices the artist. If they are exhibitors, the artists are also volunteers of the association since a membership of 20 euros is compulsory for all those who wish to present their works. In the same way, the purchase of a painting is conditioned by the payment of an annual subscription of 30 euros, tax deductible and entirely donated to Medical Research. With more than 32,000 paintings sold and more than one million euros donated to Research since 2001, “Les 111 des Arts” leads an exceptional humanitarian action, putting color at the service of pain.
