the ZFE project contested by motorists and bikers
A demonstration is organized this Saturday, November 6 on the ring road of Toulouse. Motorists and bikers want to protest against the ZFE project, Low Emission Zone.
“It’s punitive ecology”exclaims this student! Vincent, who uses his car every day to go to university, does not agree with the ZFE (Low Emission Zone) project which will be set up in the pink city. Like him, hundreds of people, motorists and bikers, have therefore planned to demonstrate this Saturday, November 6 on the Toulouse ring road.
“I have nothing against the ZFE, specifies Vincent, it is rather a good idea to limit pollution in the cities but it cannot be done to the same detriment of people who do not have the means.”
In Toulouse, the future ZFE should cover approximately 72 km2, mainly on the territory of the city of Toulouse and a small part of the communes of Colomiers and Tournefeuille. It will be bounded by the ring road to the east, south and north and by the Rocade Arc-en-Ciel and the Fil d’Ariane (RD901 / A621) to the west and will include part of the ring road West and the ‘A624. The objective is to limit pollution and therefore to exclude the most polluting vehicles from this area.
Cri’air thumbnails allow drivers to use their vehicle or not in this area.
