This Saturday evening from 9 p.m., in the Halle aux Grains de Lavaur, the Pastel en scène association is organizing a concert with the Orchester Mozart de Toulouse, on the theme of Tango music, under the direction of conductor Claude Roubichou, with the participation of Pierre-Yves Binard, baritone and guitarist. Since its creation in 2010, the Mozart Orchestra has distinguished itself each year by the quality of its services, the dynamism and the enthusiasm of young professional musicians. This formation radiates in its regional universe and beyond, diffusing the music to the greatest number, in France and abroad. She is the guest of renowned festivals: Festival de la Chaise-Dieu, Flâneries musicales de Reims, festival de la Vézère, Musique en mer, Les Nuits musicales du Causse, 31 summer notes… and for the third time with Pastel on stage at Lavaur (2015, 2017, 2021). Tango is haunting music, with a scent of nostalgia. With Carlos Gardel, singer-songwriter born in Toulouse, Argentine tango becomes universal music, in a genre in its own right, with a noble and distinguished style. He is considered the most important tango figure of the first half of the 20th century. His work and his voice are classified “UNESCO Memory of the World”. Astor Piazzola, composer and professional bandoneonist, son of Italian immigrants, gives Tango sublime and eternal melodies: “Histoire du Tango”, “Mi Buenos Aires querido”, “Oblivion”, “Libertango” … Others like Isaac Albeniz , Spanish composer from Girona, bring Tango into the hushed world of concert halls. At Lavaur’s concert, the voice of Pierre-Yves Binard, lyrical baritone and eclectic musician, will give an original and very authentic vibration. This concert is organized with the support of the city of Lavaur, the Occitanie region and the Tarn department, as well as the Patrons of the Pays de Cocagne and local advertisers.
