[J15] Amiens SC – Caen: the notes of the Amiens
After winning their first home match two weeks ago, Amiens SC hoped to transform the operation against SM Caen. But it was too difficult for a harmless Amiens team who had to settle for a goalless draw. the 11 Amienois gives you his notes of the match.
Man of the match Amiens SC – Caen
Formosa Mendy (7.5): Once again, Formosa Mendy was the boss of the Amiens defense, despite his young age. He also advanced on the field to bring his technical accuracy (crosses and passes). He continues to improve over the matches. Where will he stop?
Notes from 11 Amienois
Régis Gurtner (5.5): Régis Gurtner had little work against the Normans this Saturday evening. However, he experienced some alerts on air balloons against Mendy, to whom he did not bow. On the foot, he rather assured the raises and even played with his left foot in the second half. Another blank sheet for Régis Gurtner!
Mickaël Alphonse (4,5): The Amiens right-back achieved an average performance, too rarely playing his role as an offensive piston. Do better.
Mateo Pavlovic (6): The Croatian had a good match, notably realizing a nice save in the 52nd minute. Along with Mendy and Fofana, he really secured the defense. Received a yellow card for dispute.
Mamadou Fofana (6.5): Mamadou Fofana is as serious as ever. He ensured throughout the match, and in particular at the end of the match on his left side. Must continue its efforts.
Matteo Xantippe (5): The young Amiénois made some nice breakthroughs in the first period, including one that learned a nice free kick near the Caen penalty area. Was less successful thereafter. He continues to improve, even if he still lacks a little something to really assert himself at this level.
Emmanuel Lomotey (4): The Ghanaian has chained a new tenure in the middle. He played a fairly serious first period and continued his efforts without too many mistakes. Must still progress in the passing game.
Jessy Benet (5): Quite valuable in midfield, he got the first big chance of the match in the second half. Not yet at its best, it is slowly gaining momentum.
Arnaud Lusamba (4): Arnaud Lusamba was as always at the center of the Amiens game. If he found good passes from time to time, he did not always do the right thing. Substituted 20 minutes from the end of the match, he had received a yellow card.
Kader Bamba (4,5): The Amiens striker did not have a lot of chances in this match, apart from a nice free kick rejected by Riou in the first period. Must continue to find his partners to finally unlock the Amiens attack.
Aliou Badji (3): He will have had very few chances in this match, despite his involvement and his lessons. He was, however, found head on a few long balls. A little thin for a number 9. Replaced by Tolu in the 66th minute. The Nigerian created a great opportunity but couldn’t frame the ball.
Philippe Hinschberger (4,5): Coach Hinschberger renewed his 532 who won against Valenciennes. But after an average match in Bastia, it was not always allowed the Amiens to end the match with an advantage in the score, the actions being too few against a timid team, especially in the first half. From the hour of play, the coach tried to bring freshness with Tolu then Akolo, Diakhaby, Gnahoré and finally Lachuer, but without success.
The match (3.5): As often this season, Amiens did not score, Amiens did not attack well. A few shots, a few chances, but too little to score. Above all, a lack of projections and combinations. On the other side, Caen did not take any risk, being satisfied with the draw. Drawn match at all levels.
Caen (4): The Caennais were very attentive in the first period. Returning with better intentions after the break, they had a little highlight of a few minutes, but the Amiens defense proved solid. As the end of the match approached, we felt the Caennais a little more determined to play the offensive, but that was not enough to take a serious defense failing that. A small point for the men of Moulin who did not ask for more.
The referee (3,5): The shelter of Mr. Perraud-Niel will have weighed on the meeting because his choices were not always fair. Indeed, Nuno Da Costa and Rivierez could have taken 2 yellow cards each and therefore left theirs. But it has not happened. On the Amiens side, he handed out a somewhat harsh yellow card to Arnaud Lusamba and Pavlovic, for contesting Da Costa’s fault.
