“The first week was long among the various problems and new things to face, but the last three flew by, so much so that I would like to leave immediately”.
These are the words of some of the 21 students of Vespucci-Colombo who have recently returned from Erasmus experiences.
Yes, the European mobility of the institute has restarted very well, it was a big bet, but in the end it was possible.
21 technicians, high school and professional students accepted the challenge and were able to leave for other European countries, to carry out internships as part of the Erasmus-VET card project, for the duration of 28 days.
There was a lot of preparation work behind, a close collaboration between the Internationalization staff of the IIS VESPUCCI COLOMBO and the European Academy of Florence, so that everything would happen in maximum safety and with all anti-Covid protections.
Then the departures for Vienna and Valencia first and for Madrid a week apart.
The participating boys and girls were placed in company contests with different types of tasks, interacting in English or Spanish with the work environment.
They lived the daily life of big European cities for 4 weeks, exploring at the same time their culture and ways of life, making friends with other Erasmus students from other countries and bringing with them, on their return, the desire to continue traveling, to discover , learn, sit in the game.
