The National Team, made up of Américo Francisco (P. Ferreira), Bruno Sousa (SC Braga) and Miguel Silva (Billiard Academy Miguel Silva, Funchal), plays this Sunday, at 4 pm local time (13 pm in mainland Portugal) in Antalya (Turkey) Quarter finals at the European Pool Championships.

This Saturday was the first of three days (until Monday, the 8th) of individual competitions in the discipline of ‘8 Ball’ at the European Pool Championships, at the Venice Hotel in Antalya. And six of the seven from Portugal that competed still keep the Portuguese hope for medals alive, continuing to compete on Sunday.
Miguel Silva (Billiard Academy Miguel Silva, Funchal) lost 0-8 to the Danish Andreas Madsen, but in the repechages he beat the Serbian Andreja Klasovic, by 8.4. On Sunday at 9 am (6 am in mainland Portugal) the Danish Christoffer Lentz.
Américo Francisco (P. Ferreira), lost 3-8 to the Luxembourger Yannick Pongers and will face Sunday, also before 6:00 am in Lisbon… Carlos Correia (Sanjoanense), beaten this Saturday by the Russian Andrey Seroshtan (3-8) , and that, due to the unfathomable purposes of the draw, it was the rival that fell to him. It is the consolation of, at least, Portugal guaranteeing that it will always have one player, after the round, fighting for access to the main board, composed of 64 players.
Bruno Sousa (SC Braga) beat Slovak Lukas Kovac 8-7 and lost 3-8 to Norwegian Emil-Andre Gangflot.
