The Netherlands remains at the top of the UEFA coefficient ranking | football
The victories of Ajax in the Champions League against Borussia Dortmund, AZ in the Conference League against Cluj and Feyenoord in the Conference League against Union Berlin achieved a total of 1.2 points for the ranking. PSV added 0.2 points with the draw against AS Monaco, Ajax for a bonus point by securing the winter in the Champions League. Following Ajax, AZ and Feyenoord are on course to spend the winter abroad, and PSV and Viegen are also on track for a follow-up in Europe.
Due to the continued good performance of the Dutch clubs this season, the five-year ranking on the basis of which the European tickets are distributed looks better for the Netherlands. At the moment, the Netherlands is still seventh in that five-year ranking, well behind number six Portugal.
Because the European disaster year 2017/2018 will disappear after next season, the Netherlands is virtually sixth in the ranking for the distribution of tickets in the subsequent period. Partly due to this top week, the Netherlands has passed Portugal and the Eredivisie would therefore be able to register two clubs directly for the Champions League. It is not all that far yet, because before that, the Dutch clubs will remain at a high level in Europe for the remainder of the current season and next season.
