- A man attacked a watch and jewelry store in downtown Zurich on Friday afternoon.
- The police caught the alleged perpetrator a short time later at Stadelhofen station in a train.
- Because of the large-scale operation of the Zurich city police, the S-Bahn traffic was disrupted.
According to previous police findings, the man threatened and attacked shortly before 4:45 p.m. in a watch and jewelry store, as the Zurich city police announced on Friday evening. The employee was slightly injured. It could still set off an alarm.
As a result, the unknown robber fled the business without prey. Passers-by who watched the incident alerted the city police and the pursuit. After the man at Stadelhofen station had boarded an S-Bahn ready to depart, the city police prevented the train from continuing and a deployed intervention unit boarded the train.
When the alleged perpetrator saw armed police officers dying on the train, he tried to leave the train. The emergency services stop the man and arrest him. Police saw a toy gun safe and the 35-year-old man was taken to a police station for further investigation.
