Jeanne d’Arc metro station reopened
Good news for regulars of metro line B. They can resume their usual route. In a press release, the Tisséo public transport agency announces the reopening from Jeanne d’Arc metro station in Toulouse, this Friday, November 5. It had been closed since October 30 because of a fire. But after several days of “appraisals and security work relating to the reception of the public”, travelers can “once again the borrower in complete safety”, explains the agency.
However, users cannot take the stairs “at the origin of the incident”, says Tisséo. The latter “will be temporarily unavailable”. Travelers can still go through the fixed stairs and elevators that remain, “available to them to continue their travels,” adds the transport agency.

A fire at the origin of the closure

The latter in fact closed because of a “start of fire at the escalator from the station platform “, recalls the press release. evacuation of the station as well as the intervention of the firefighters. It was scheduled to reopen by the end of the week. In the meantime, travelers were invited to refer to the stations of Compans Caffarelli and Jean Jaurès.
In addition, Tisséo indicates in its press release “to do everything possible to carry out the work as soon as possible and to regret the inconvenience caused by this event”.
