Belgium without Lukaku against Estonia and Wales
Belgium, which only needs one point to qualify for the 2022 World Cup, will have to go against Estonia and Wales from its injured striker Romelu Lukaku, confirmed coach Roberto Martinez on Friday.
To compensate for this forfeit in addition to that of Mitchy Batshuayi (the goalscorer for Besiktas is also injured), the Catalan coach called three other attackers from a selection of 29 players: Divock Origi (Liverpool), Christian Benteke ( Crystal Palace) and Dante Vanzeir (Union, Belgian D1).
For the rest, the workforce called to receive Estonia on November 13 and go to Cardiff on the 16 is no surprise.
In lack of playing time at Real Madrid, Eden Hazard is indeed part of the selection.
Belgium lead Group E (16 points, six matches) ahead of the Occupied Czech Republic (11 points, seven matches).
The Belgian selection (29 players):
