We can, of course, blame him for breaking into people illegally. But we can’t put him on trial for his politeness!
Tuesday, November 2, 2021, a man suspected of a burglary in Toulouse was heard by the police. The alleged facts date back to December 2020.
He hears from his victim
In the early morning, in a pavilion in the Bagatelle district, a 90-year-old woman is awakened by a man breaking into her room. Of course, she does not know him from Eve or Adam. So, inevitably, she worries and panics.
Obviously understanding, the unwanted visitor asks his victim if all is well. The words of a gentleman-burglar who will not succeed in appeasing this inhabitant, frightened by the presence of the intruder.
Surely aware that they will never become friends, the burglar begins to search the house very quickly before taking the loose. Perhaps confused by his meeting with the owner of the premises, he ultimately did not steal anything.
A suspect already in prison
After this mishap, the inhabitant alerts the police to make the findings. The forensic science comes into play and takes fingerprints and DNA. Especially on the window broken by the burglar.
Long months pass until the samples correspond to DNA. This belongs to a 44-year-old man. Already known to the police, he is currently imprisoned at the Seysses remand center.
Extracted from his cell, Tuesday, November 2, he was heard in police custody. In front of the investigators, he assures that he no longer remembers the facts precisely, but recognizes his participation. The man will have to answer for his actions in court next December.
