Sander Sagosen scored on order in Norwegian loss for Denmark – Dagsavisen
He scored six of Norway’s 13 goals before the break and also had several assists.
It continued much the same way in the second round as well. Sagosen was petty in front of his home crowd as well and suffered two expulsions. In total, there were eleven goals at Sagosen.
He also used the comeback after covid-19 illness to go up as fifth on the top scorer list on the national team all time with 655 goals after 128 games. Roger Kjendalen leads with 939 goals.
– The body was fine, but it was a short period towards the end of the second half that I was in the purple zone, Sagosen told NTB.
Norway’s national team manager Christian Berge has used parts of the collection in Trondheim to train on new moments in the game, also in defense. There is not much time to practice. After the weekend’s two matches, the team will not gather again until just over a week before the European Championships (January, Slovakia and Hungary).

Stayed at home
Denmark won the goalkeeper match in Trondheim. The Norwegian duo Torbjørn Bergerud and Kristian Sæverås had a tough night. The reorganization of the Norwegian defensive game did not help them either.
“We must work with the goalkeepers to find the solution, so that there will be some more saves,” said Sagosen.
The World Cup (sixth place) and the Olympics (loss in the quarterfinals against Denmark) ended with disappointment for the Norwegian team.
On Thursday, Denmark placed among others without its biggest stars: Keeper Niklas Landin and Mikkel Hansen.
In Norway, Gøran S. Johannessen (not currently playing for a few weeks) and Magnus Abelvik Rød sat in the stands. Christian O’Sullivan is not in the tournament.
Norway meets the Netherlands on Saturday and the recent Olympic winner France on Sunday. It is unclear how much Sagosen will be seen there.
He is determined to come “home” to Kiel in a reasonable way after the turbulence lately. Sagosen announced last week that he will move from Kiel in the summer of 2023 and continue his career in Kolstad’s major investment.
