Locking the Forest and the Fairy Tale of May. The autumn walk led to a well behind Helenka
Autumn nature can conjure up magical scenery and we are convinced of it at every step. Mrs. Eva Pipalová was convinced of how rich the palette of colors “Master Autumn” mixed this time. Thank you for providing photos and for a nice tip for a trip.

The road led from Brno’s Žebětín Výpadní Street to the Grand Prix to the place called U obrázek and then to Helena’s Well. Furthermore, hikers can go through Horák’s gutter to the pheasantry and back to Žebětín. The forest was full of gold, it was a balm for the eyes and the soul.
Helen’s well lies at the crossroads of red and green tourist signs under Lipový vrch. Previously, the well was protected by oak timber. Later it received a stone vault. The Brno artist Oldřich Martínek created a bronze relief above the spring. It recalls Mrštík’s famous novel about Ríša’s love for the daughter of a local gamekeeper Helence. According to available information, Mrštík was inspired to write the novel by the local landscape. After the family moved from Ostrovačice to Brno, he liked to return to the forests around Podmokranská myslivna.
