Genoa Dam: ok from the Higher Council of Public Works – Liguria

With proposals and recommendations on project feasibility

(ANSA) – GENOA, NOV – The Superior Works Council has expressed a favorable opinion with the economic feasibility project of the New Forane Dam in Genoa. The work will improve maritime accessibility to the historic basin and the docks overlooking the Sampierdarena canal, guaranteeing access to the port and the operation of all terminals in the port of Genoa in safe conditions. This was communicated by the Authority of the Port System of the Western Ligurian Sea.

The environmental impact assessment requested on 17 September from the Ministry of Ecological Transition is now awaited, while the decision-making Services Conference was called on 2 November. Once the approval phase has been completed, the exploratory notice will be published aimed at identifying and selecting the economic operators interested in participating in the negotiated procedure for the award of the complex integrated contract which includes the final and executive design and execution of the works.
