Currently, Ukraine has a low threat at the beginning of the heating season, including – a shortage of coal and gas – the chairman of the Union of Consumers of Utilities
This position was voiced by Oleg Popenko, chairman of the Union of Consumers of Public Utilities, on the air of the Energo live program with Alexander Morshchavka on the Espresso TV channel.
He said that at present it is not about one risk and not about two.
“First, we do not have coal, as we see today. Will all the coal come? Not a fact. Second, we do not have enough gas reserves,” – said Popenko.
According to his estimates, several billion cubic meters of gas will not be enough: “As of October 1, we had 10.6 billion cubic meters of gas. we are delivering the heating season. That is, we will not have enough 2-3 billion. “
The expert emphasizes that one of the problems is finding where to buy gas, which is not enough. Another risk is whether Ukraine will have UAH 40-45 billion for such a purchase.
“The fourth is the technical condition. If nothing has been done in the last 10-15 years in the district heating and thermal power plants, they will physically fall apart,” Popenko summed up.
- At the end of the yellow People’s Deputy from the “Servant of the People” Andriy Gerus took part in the fact that from November 1, Russia will suspend the supply of thermal coal in Ukraine, occupying.
