Around 45,000 visitors took advantage of the ice magic in the Salzburg Volksgarten last winter. “The preparations for the second season of the ice magic are in full swing as planned. We hope the weather will play along and we can start in mid-November, ”said Deputy Mayor Bernhard Auinger (SPÖ) in a broadcast.

Additional ways in the ice magic

The mobile circuit connects two ice surfaces. This year there is an additional 90 meters of running paths and a total of around 1670 m² of ice surface will be available for outdoor ice-skating fun. As in the previous year, the currently valid corona rules must be observed.

Salzburg’s ice skaters are in good hands in the ice arena until the ice magic opens. An ice rink of 3,600 m² is available to Salzburg’s hobby and professional ice athletes every day from 6:30 a.m. to midnight.

Ice arena opening times:

• from October 1st, daily from 10 a.m. to 4.15 p.m. Schools from 8 a.m.
• Additionally Mon, Wed and Sat evening run from 7.15 p.m. to 8.30 p.m.

Who can go on the ice?

• Anyone who has a 3G proof and has completed the required guest registration
