OX2 has agreed to acquire from waterfall the rights to build the Klevberget wind farm in Ånge municipality, Västernorrland county, Sweden.

According to the agreement, OX2 will acquire 100 percent of the project from waterfall. The wind farm has a legally binding permit and has an estimated capacity of approximately 150 MW. It will be an addition to OX2’s Swedish project development portfolio for late wind power on land.

A group of local landowners developed the project until 2018, when the necessary permission was obtained. After waterfall took care of the project and further refined it, for example in terms of network concessions, detailed planning and supplementary inventories.

“OX2’s ambition is to begin construction of the Klevberget wind farm in 2022. We look forward to working with landowners, Sami, residents and the municipality. We want to thank waterfall because we trust that we will continue to develop this project and for its successful development so far. When OX2 establishes wind farms, we always strive to achieve a positive impact on the local area, including greater biodiversity, ”says Hillevi Priscar, Country Manager Sweden, OX2.
