nursing staff exempt from quarantine after high-risk contact
The Risk Management Group (RMG) has decided to exempt, exceptionally and under certain conditions, the vaccinated nursing staff from the obligation to follow a quarantine after a high-risk contact while awaiting a first negative result, informed Wednesday evening the Institute of Public Health Sciensano.
Due to the increase in new contaminations, and despite the already very limited quarantine requirements for vaccinated health personnel, the continuity of care risked becoming, in some establishments, threatened.
Under conditions
If the caregiver is asymptomatic, fully vaccinated, does not live under the same roof as the risky contact case, there are no other solutions and his presence is necessary to ensure a minimum of care, he can continue his work without having to place himself in isolation.
