Dinamo Zagreb-Rapid Vienna match preview: where are the two teams?
Dinamo Zagreb
Dinamo Zagreb achieved a Europa League victory, which was accompanied by two defeats, the first against West Ham and the most recent against Rapid Vienna. However, the Croatian side showed their qualities when they beat Genk 3-0 in the second Group H game, with a goal from Luka Ivanusec and a brace from Bruno Petkovic. But when they visited their opponents on Thursday, Damir Krznar’s side were unable to score any points, falling in the ninth minute of play in what was a disastrous start. Although Mislav Orsic managed to get Zagaria back into the game with his goal, he failed to keep the result and lost 2-1. Since that game the club has remained undefeated in the league, racking up a draw and two wins in the last few games and this is something that will have created a lot of confidence for Thursday.
Quick Vienna
However, Rapid Vienna have not lost a match since their previous Group H meeting, also drawing once and winning twice and continuing their impressive run of form. Dietmar Kuhbauer will be pleased with how his side have performed recently, with the club currently enjoying a six-game unbeaten spell. They did not suffer a campaign defeat from Ham United when they faced the second match of their Europa League, which saw them fall in a 2-0 defeat. Rapid Vienna were also beaten in the opening match of the group when they faced Genk, which made the three points against Dinamo Zagreb so important. With a trio of teams all on three points, the need to earn more is key right now, which is something that will add pressure to both clubs towards Thursday night.

News from the teams
The hosts miss Arijan Ademi with an ankle problem, but several midfielders are able to fill that role, with Amer Gojak the most likely man to dominate the center of the pitch. Dinamo Zagreb opted for a 4-3-2-1 formation over the weekend and it is something that worked well, which could lead the club to repeat it on Thursday. Paul Gartler managed to hold his position as the number one goalkeeper for Rapid Vienna and that is likely to continue in this bout. Meanwhile, on the other side of the pitch, he is playing with a lot of confidence at the moment after scoring a brace over the weekend, and is set to rule the line once again.
