Unique event for a European art fair – live art auction on the final day
It was an initiative of art patron Armando Principe, who had the first idea of an art auction at the end of ART Innsbruck. Together with the Prince Art Gallery and in cooperation with the auction house Art Code – Casa d’Aste, works of art from the fields of photography, painting, sculpture and digital art were auctioned live. This for Europe unique auction on the occasion of a trade fair attracted a lot of attention and was also diligently bid.
Many red dots on the works of art show great interest from buyers
A first survey of the exhibiting gallery owners shows the good mood. In general, even more sales were recorded than in previous years, which may be due to the long art break caused by Corona. Some galleries were even sold out and were pleased with the great interest. Of course, the fair was also used by the current exhibitors to make numerous new contacts and also to generate attention for the artists represented.
Several dozen galleries with over 700 artists presented themselves in the modern halls of Olympiaworld Innsbruck. After the many postponements caused by the corona, the trade fair director is now hoping for the regular holding of ART Innsbruck in Tyrol and therefore for a new edition in 2022.
