Le Burger opens in Innsbruck: day pass
On November 18th, the first “burger factory” of Le Burger opens in Tyrol. In addition to burgers, bowls, salads and steaks can also be found on the menu. Thanks to the beautiful bakery, pastries can be served for breakfast from 8:00 a.m.
Although there are only a few weeks until the opening, the work is far from finished. “In order to gain time, we try to work as many trades as possible on the construction site. The tilers are currently in the house, but the drywallers are not finished with their work either. At the very end, presumably in the first week of November, the kitchen appliances will be delivered and the trial operation with our 40 new employees in the 390m ² with 120 seats.
The new franchisee Michael Meindl can hardly wait either. The Upper Austrian entrepreneur not only comes from the Meindl shipping dynasty, as the host of the “Gasthaus See” on Mondsee, he is himself a successful restaurateur.
“Every time I travel to the USA, I have wondered why the burgers taste much better there than here, even though they have excellent food here. Then I tried a burger from Le Burger for the first time and was thrilled right away. When I found out about the sustainable concept and the uncompromising freshness, it was clear to me that I wanted to bring this ingenious concept to Tyrol, ”reveals Meindl. The total investment for the entire restaurant is in the six-digit range. 40 new jobs will be created in the region.
Le Burger focuses on sustainable gastronomy
The company, founded in 2014, is a pioneer in terms of sustainability and climate-friendly gastronomy. So plastic is avoided as much as possible, there are vegan drinking straws made from grain and apple fibers, the ingredients come (as far as possible) from the region and with the sale of soft drinks, for example, social projects are supported. “The Lemonaid & ChariTea brands belong to an association that promotes social projects. In addition, with ‘Viva con Aqua’ we support an association that supports Welthungerhilfe’s water projects. A visit to Le Burger becomes a statement for environmental protection in practice, ”emphasizes Lukas Tauber. Le Burger also regularly supports Austrian aid organizations such as “Licht ins Dunkel” or “Obdach Wien”. In 2016, Le Burger was named the “most socially committed company” in Vienna’s new building.
The center manager Herbert Larch is already looking forward to the first burger manufacture in DEZ. “With Le Burger, a new tenant is moving into our house who is expanding our gastronomic diversity. The renovation work that has been carried out enables a completely new concept for the DEZ, which our customers will soon appreciate, ”says Larch.
