Brussels fails to meet October vaccination target
The Brussels-Capital Region has failed to meet the target of vaccinating 65 percent of the population against the corona virus by the end of October. That writes L’Echo Tuesday.

In Brussels, the vaccination campaign is still lagging behind the other regions. The number of vaccinated has now risen to 57 percent, once Wallon has crossed the 70 percent limit, Flanders 80 percent. In the coming days, Brussels should become 58 percent, as 1 percent is gained every week.
From now on, there is no longer any talk of a target in Brussels. “What will be the ceiling in Brussels? I can’t answer that,” said Inge Neven, head of the Brussels health inspectorate. “We continue to gain percentages, especially by moving the vaccination bus to neighborhoods where we weren’t before.”
The campaign strategy will therefore remain unchanged for the time being. “We focus on preferred places and first send prevention officers there to talk to the people. We are also setting up contact points for the elderly. As long as the numbers method, we will continue with this,” Neven continues.
