Russia may not limit itself to harsh words – Rossiyskaya Gazeta
Russia may not limit itself to harsh words about Kiev after the use of a military drone by the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbass. The American magazine National Interest writes about this.
According to columnist Mark Episkopos, there are signs that the Kremlin’s response to these alleged “provocations” may go beyond harsh words.
As the author of the article drew attention, the purchase and deployment of Turkish military drones by Ukraine reignited the conflict in Donbass, which threatens its further escalation. Kiev to acquire dozens of such devices, as well as expand their production on its own territory.
LPR spokesman Rodion Miroshnik has already accused Kiev of violating the Minsk agreements, according to the 2014 agreements, there is a direct ban on flights of military aircraft and unmanned aerial vehicles. This position, as the author of the article writes, is supported by the German Foreign Ministry. Berlin is “very concerned” about the drone strike, since the Minsk agreements only allow the use of UAVs by the OSCE mission. However, Ukrainian officials have denied any wrongdoing.
