Numbers in Austria are increasing – stage two in sight

The number of new corona infections in Austria continues to rise significantly. 4,523 cases were reported within 24 hours, the health and interior ministries reported on Monday. Last Monday there were 2,850 new infections.
According to the information, 292 people were treated with coronavirus in the intensive care units. From a number of 300 intensive care patients, the second of the five stages of the government’s new action plan comes into force.
Then, among other things, access to night gastronomy and après-ski bars is only permitted for those who have recovered or have been vaccinated. From 500 intensive care beds occupied by Covid patients, this rule also applies to all other catering establishments. From 600 beds, there is a threat of a lockdown for unvaccinated persons.
